Patrick used his experience in a science lab environment to shape his future in the psychology of business.

Patrick got right into the heart of lab work as he interned at the University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences with Dr. Shilpa Sant.

He helped with lab-created scaffoldings for the human body by creating, manipulating and testing chemical characteristics and their reactions. Working alongside his peer Alexis Palmer, they conduced research on damaged tissues. He earned over 137 hours learning about hydrogels and techniques such as electrospinning. He was most impressed by lab work, which revealed that changing a variable alters the thickness of a cell.

He credits this work with sharpening his attention to detail and responsibility.

Patrick was accepted at Pitt Johnstown where he is enrolled in Psychology. His goal is to become an industrial organization psychologist helping people work together in business productivity.
