Nutrition & Meals
City High offers a fresh and nutritious food program for our students and staff. We provide healthy and varied breakfast and lunch menus daily for every student. For lunch, students have the option to purchase a full meal or individual a la carte items. City Charter High School participates in the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program.
Cafeteria Information & Welcome Letter
Breakfast
Breakfast is served from 7:00-7:40 AM Tuesday-Friday.
Meal includes a breakfast sandwich or cereal accompanied by a milk and fruit. A la carte items may include yogurt, granola and breakfast bars.
Lunch
Meal includes a main entrée accompanied with a vegetable and juice, or fruit and milk. A la carte items are available for individual purchase. A la carte items may include bowl of soup, side dishes, fruit, milk and juice.
The cafeteria at City Charter High School functions just as an employee cafeteria at a business. Students are expected to demonstrate appropriate behavior.
Students are assigned to a lunch period each day. Students are required to go to the cafeteria and remain there during their respective lunch periods. Lunch periods are thirty minutes long and allow ample time for students to eat lunch and have some time for relaxation and socializing.
NO STUDENT IS PERMITTED TO LEAVE SCHOOL GROUNDS DURING THE LUNCH PERIODS.

City High has implemented the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2022-23 School Year. This program is available to schools and districts that are participatng in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. All enrolled students of City High are eligible to receive a nutritional breakfast and lunch each school day at no charge.Students have the opportunity to purchase a la carte items in the lunch line using cash or their school account by using the SchoolCafe. Students can also purchase items such as drinks, ice cream and snacks at the school store using their student account.
