“For the past 6 years, the Women’s Center & Shelter has had the opportunity to host students from City Charter High School in a important internship experience.” According to the Children’s Advocate II, Anita Hammond, “It is a great opportunity to help our youth learn what we do, actually behind the scenes, to see if this is the type of field they might be interested in. And the assistance they provide by working with the children, actually helps us so that we can work with the parents to offer connection of services that they may need.”
