Koby took an internship and is making it the springboard to his career.

Koby’s mentor was Attorney Gabrielle Carbonara who shared her experience and how to attain one’s goals.  Koby observed criminal and family law cases while working in the Law Office of Attorney Christy Foreman.

He earned 156 hours and had the opportunity to sit in on a trial of attempted homicide gavel-to-gavel from jury selection to verdict.  He gained valuable insight into legal career options from conversations with attorneys and paralegals during his internship. He also learned how a legal office operates with court filings, client billings and filing, and also got to assist in legal research.

He says he learned another valuable lesson from internship – the value of networking.

Koby intends to pursue legal studies after high school and he has already been accepted at both Edinboro University and Penn State. He intends to follow the path to becoming an attorney by going to graduate school and working in a legal firm as a law clerk.
